Dr.
Larry Malashock has been in practice since1984.
A lifelong Omaha resident, he studied computer science and
physics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha before four
years of graduate studies in Memphis at the Southern College
of Optometry.
He has authored
articles on the practice of optometry and has been an active
member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American
Optometric Association for over 20 years.
He recently
finished a 10 year stretch as a director of the NOA political
action committee.
Married to
his high school sweetheart for 25 years, Larry has 3 great
kids. When not in the office he enjoys walleye fishing and
tinkering with the guts of computers.

Dr. Neal Malashock was raised
in Omaha and graduated from Central High School. Dr. Malashock
attended Colorado State University and the University of Nebraska
at Omaha where he pursued majors in physics and general sciences.
Dr.
Malashock continued his post-graduate studies at the Southern
College of Optometry and received his Doctorate in 1980.
During
his last year in doctorate study, Dr. Malashock was elected
to Who’s Who In American Colleges and Universities.
Dr.
Malashock completed clinical externship in pediatric vision,
vision therapy and low vision care under Dr. William Ludlum
at the Pacific University College of Optometry. He maintains
theses specialty areas in his private practice, along with
complete contact lens care.
Dr.
Malashock is licensed to administer and prescribe both
diagnostic and therapeutic medications.
Dr.
Malashock is a member of the American Optometric Association,
Nebraska Optometric Association and the College of Optometrists
In Vision Development.
Dr.
Malashock is active in community activities. He also volunteers
to speak to groups concerning child vision development,
visual disorders and prevention of eye diseases.

Dr.
Stephen M. Felt has been in practice at Malbar
Vision Centers since 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and
completed his doctorate in optometry at the University of Houston
College of Optometry.
Dr. Felt
performed an academic rotation at Evens Army Community Hospital
at Fort Carson, Colorado and a medical rotation locally at
the Omaha Eye and Laser Institute.
He was married
in May 2002 and recently he and his wife Lori had their first
child.
When not
examining patients, Stephen can be found at home, at a local
golf course, or boating with family and friends. He enjoys
fishing, hiking, and generally all outdoor activities.

Dr. Donald R. Krysl graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah,Oklahoma. While at NSU, he was named Outstanding 1st Year Student (1993), awarded the Silhouette Scholarship for Excellence in the study of Optometry (1994) and received the Pheiffer Award for Excellence in Research related to Refraction (1996). Dr. Krysl enjoys practicing full-scope optometry. He practiced 5 years in Kearney, NE and was associated with the Mid America Vision Centers in Hebron, Geneva, and York, NE for 10 years.
In 2004, the Nebraska Optometric Association recognized Dr. Krysl with a Presidential Citation for helping raise funds and awareness with benefit concerts for the storm-devastated communities of Deshler and Hallam, NE.
Dr. Krysl also earned a B.A. degree in Music Education and a M.A. degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
He taught Instrumental Music at Gretna (1980-81) and Kearney High
(1981-1991). He was selected “Outstanding Young Band Director” by the
Nebraska Bandmasters’ Association in 1987.
Dr. Krysl lives in Omaha with his wife Shirley. They have two grown children, and two grandchildren. In his spare time, Dr. Krysl enjoys leading “Big Band Reprise” – an 18-member swing band from central Nebraska who recreates the sights and sounds of the Big Band Swing Era.

KIRK C. MAYNARD, OD, FAAO is a native of Hampshire, Illinois. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from North Central College in Naperville Illinois, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1983.
Dr. Maynard served in the United States Air Force for over 23 years. During that time he was awarded “Optometrist of the Year” twice, once for the Military Airlift Command, and once for Air Combat Command. He also directed a number of clinical internship programs and held adjunct clinical faculty positions with Ferris State College of Optometry, Indiana University College of Optometry, University of Houston College of Optometry, and the Illinois College of Optometry. During his military career, Dr. Maynard served in North Carolina, the United Kingdom, North Dakota, and at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. He also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the commander of an Air Force field hospital, and was the sole optometrist in a humanitarian medical mission to bring health care to the indigent population of Jamaica.
Dr. Maynard is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association, a life member of the Armed Forces Optometric Society, and has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over 25 years. He also has been a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry since 1994.
Dr. Maynard and his wife Cynthia have 2 children. His hobby of antique clock collecting and restoration fills any spare time and he is a life member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.
